English couples therapy in Riga
Win-Win Therapy is an English-language couples therapy practice in Riga. Sessions last two hours, in person at Čaka iela 83/85 (Aleksandra Čaka iela on maps) or by video. Eva Ratfeldere is a psychotherapist registered to practise in Latvia. Peter Clark is a relationship coach, not a clinician. They sit with you together, which many couples find more balanced than seeing one practitioner alone. The work is aimed at cross-cultural relationships: partners from different countries, languages, or family traditions, including expats in Riga. Published hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 10am to 3pm. Sunday is closed. Book by phone, email, or the contact form. If you already know Eva from therapy.lv, that is a separate listing at the same building. Bookings for this practice use info@winwintherapy.com.

Why Choose Us
What makes our approach to win-win couple therapy unique and effective
Personal Experience
We don't just talk the talk; we've walked the walk. Our own experiences as an international couple enable us to understand your challenges on a deeper level.
Win-Win mindset
We believe in therapy that supports both partners equally. In our sessions, no one is the "problem" — instead, we work as a team to help you both feel heard, respected, and empowered. When both partners grow, the relationship thrives.
Expertise
With an experienced psychotherapist and coach in the room, you work with methods from Eva's clinical training and Peter's coaching practice, shaped to your situation.
Cultural Sensitivity
We create a safe, judgement-free space for both partners, respecting and valuing your cultural differences.
A Team Approach
You get the unique advantage of two professionals working together to provide balanced, insightful guidance.
Why We Offer 2-Hour Sessions for Couples
Unlike many traditional couple therapy sessions that last around 50–60 minutes, we offer 2-hour sessions. We believe this extended time is essential for deeper exploration, meaningful connection, and lasting change.
Longer sessions allow us to:
Move beyond surface-level issues and dive into what really matters.
Create space for both partners to be heard without feeling rushed.
Practice new communication tools and relational skills during the session itself.
Help couples leave with greater clarity and a real sense of progress.
We've found that this deeper, slower-paced process is especially important in couple therapy process, where understanding each other sometimes takes just a little more time — and care.

- 2
Tailored Sessions
Together we'll agree tools that fit. Regular sessions are 2 hours, in Riga or by video.

English sessions in Riga
The shared language in the room is English, so both partners and Peter can work together. Eva also speaks Latvian and Russian. Mixed-language homes in Riga often find that a slower English session gives each person time to choose words instead of defaulting to the louder native tongue.
Fresh Perspectives
Speaking in a non-native language often encourages greater mindfulness and intentionality — clients may find themselves choosing their words more carefully and gaining new perspectives on their experiences.
Deeper Reflection
The process of translating thoughts into a second language creates a natural space for reflection, allowing couples to process emotions and experiences more deliberately before expressing them.
Emotional Safety
For some, expressing difficult emotions or sensitive topics in a foreign language can feel safer and less emotionally overwhelming, creating space for more honest communication.
International couples and local pairs who want to work in English are both welcome at Čaka iela 83/85.
